30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2018), the rib engraved 'CHARLES BOSWELL MAKER. 126. STRAND. LONDON. W.C.' (rib loose),2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, acanthus scroll engraving surrounding vignettes of a pair of hounds on point on the left, the right with a nye of pheasants in their naturalistic habitat, the underside with further vignettes of pheasants, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 10oz.
